1. Who I am
This website (the “Site”) is operated by Yashar (“Yashar Coaching”, “I”, “me”, or “my”), a sole-trader coach based in London, United Kingdom. I am the data controller responsible for any personal information you provide through this Site or during our coaching engagements.
If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, you can contact me through the “Request a call” form on the homepage.
2. Information I collect
I only collect information you choose to give me, including:
- Contact details: full name, email address, and phone number you submit through the call-request form.
- Your message: the goal, context, or background you describe to me.
- Coaching notes: information you share during coaching sessions that I may record privately to support your progress.
- Technical data: basic device and browser information collected automatically by my hosting provider for security and reliability (e.g. IP address, timestamps).
I do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 and do not intentionally process special category data (e.g. health, religion, sexuality). Please do not share such data unless strictly necessary for the coaching relationship.
3. How I use your information
I use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and schedule a discovery call.
- Deliver coaching services you have engaged me for and communicate with you about them.
- Send transactional emails (e.g. confirmations, reminders, changes to bookings).
- Keep records required for tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
- Protect the Site against abuse, fraud, and security threats.
4. Legal bases (UK GDPR)
- Consent — when you submit the call-request form.
- Contract — to provide coaching services you have agreed to.
- Legal obligation — to keep financial and tax records.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve my Site, where this is not overridden by your rights.
5. Sharing your information
I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with trusted service providers acting on my instructions, including:
- My website hosting and database providers.
- My email delivery provider for transactional messages.
- Scheduling, video-call, and payment processors where relevant to your coaching engagement.
- Professional advisors (e.g. accountants) and authorities where required by law.
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long I keep your information
I keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last interaction. Coaching client records are kept for up to 7 years after the end of the engagement to meet UK accounting and tax requirements. You can ask me to delete your data earlier subject to those legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to my processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact me via the homepage. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
8. Cookies and analytics
I use only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary to operate the Site (e.g. to keep it secure and remember basic preferences). If I add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, I will request your consent first.
9. Security
I use reputable providers and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security on my database. No system is perfectly secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to me.
10. Coaching disclaimer
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical, legal, or financial advice. Information on this Site and any guidance provided during coaching is for personal and professional development purposes only. You remain solely responsible for the decisions and actions you take. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency services.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to external sites (e.g. Instagram). I am not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies separately.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice on the Site.
